I've been gaming a lot recently - started the OG Kingdom Hearts because I have a PS to actually play the Disney/Final Fantasy mashup of awesomeness. Somehow I am actually seeing a lot for the first time in game rather than from screenshots and what not online. Confused

I finished the main storyline of Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4, and I have started knocking out the DLC step by step (currently playing the second installation of "The City That Never Sleeps"). :squee: And I recently started playing Anthem - rocking the Ranger javelin and getting completely sucked into the world. OMG MOAR POEMS!

Recently, I picked up one of my BIG works in progress and started stitching again. So hopefully I make the time to post some more on here this year compared to last.

Being Frugal

2 min read
So like always - I saw some deals in the last days of the year and I could not contain myself. Not only did I purchase some more video games for GREAT discounted prices, I had to purchase a new battery for my car. As a result, frugal is my new middle name. :bademoticon:

No big purchases. No deals. It is about some self-control, which is soooo hard when you work retail. But I'm doing good, and I have a single splurge purchase coming in February - the remastered Shadow of the Colossus.

Moderation in all things - it has become a bit of a mantra for me as of late.

I started a new game yesterday Batman: A Telltale Series. :bademoticon:

I wanted to change up the gaming experience since finishing Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (totally went back and completed the game 100% by finding all the docs, relics, caches and completing all the challenges).

It's all about choices in words and actions, which I find so interesting - the game play is a complete 180 from so many titles I've played.

I really love the style of the animation, and I've been wanting to play a Telltale game for quite some time.

Raiding Tombs

Finally started playing Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition - I've been meaning to start this adventure for a while. Now that the film is coming out in March - it seemed like the perfect time. I really cannot stop playing it! Love Loving every moment!

I started the game Friday and I am already 63% through the game! It really keeps me hooked. I'm planning on going back to find all of the relics, documents, and tombs. I'll be your huckleberry! Debating if I want to start Rise of the Tomb Raider immediately after, but I will probably play something else.

Still working on the Destiny 2 Craftalong - finished this past week's emblem so I am finally caught up with all the past emblems and awaiting for the next! Planning to start work on some stitching project for my best friend in celebration of her upcoming wedding in the near future.

"Destiny. Destiny. No escaping that for me!" - Young Frankenstein

Hey everybody! It's been a long, long time - I know, bad me! Anywho, last year was a bit lacking on stitchery for me - I finally broke down and expanded my gaming experience, which pulled me away from stitching. I regret NOTHING! Devilish

I purchased an Xbox One around the beginning of summer, then I purchased a PS4 during the Thanksgiving holiday sales. I love them, and I do not regret purchasing my Xbox first then buying a PS4 - I had my reasons: XB1 is backwards compatible and PS4 has exclusive titles. Sherlock Holmes I am happy and I can finally play some of the series that I've been eye-balling for years with my Nintendo systems (Wii and WiiU) at hand.

However, my stitching has taken quite a backseat to the gaming. I have been working towards balancing both of these passions - and I actually joined a craftalong related to gaming. Juggle

CraftingGeek created a weekly craftalong made up of emblems from Destiny 2 - she can be found on Instagram HERE and Twitter THERE where you can find out more about her craftalong and more game-related crafts that she creates. Use the force! Her blog The Crafting Geek is another great place to find her work and some of her xstitch patterns.

Sadly, I cannot stitch and play video games at the same time. I'm working on balancing the two activities, but it's going to take some work. I plan on stitching another alphabet this year, and I have some projects in mind for my best friend's upcoming nuptials - so I have some plans.

Herr Llama Emperor It's my density!

Kong Is King

It's been awhile, hasn't it? I haven't posted in forever and a day - and I have photos of more xstitch, chilling on my camera - I really need to get on this! However, the job has been quite the task master these past months and the heat has not been conducive for stitching (no AC). I'm on fire!

Mom finished her Kirby and Friends, and I have yet to snap a photo of it. Huggle! I'll be posting hers and mine separately and together to really showcase the differences between 14 ct and 18 ct - we actually managed to stitch on the same colored aida cloth so I'll really be able to compare and contrast.

I have some vacation time beginning next week, which means free time to relax and to submit some xstitch here.

Kong Skull Island came out this week, which means I finally get to see it! I missed out on watching the movie on the BIG screen, but I waited it out and now I can view it on the mini-BIG screen in the living room. I'm rewatching Godzilla as I type this before starting Kong because that's just how I roll. Popcorn

I, of course, have been finding some more stitching material (i.e. more games, movies, and tv shows to search through for xstitch images) to add to my ever growing list of possible stitching projects. It never really ends! OMG MOAR POEMS! But that's half the fun (the other half is actually finishing the piece)!

I am desperate to find stitching images from Little Nightmares - I love that game! Creepy and cute, mysterious and disturbing! Six is more than I imagined! Meow :3
