I'm almost done with my 18 ct Kirby journey... I've been rocking the two strands, but I realized that the needle that I was using was a bit of a tight squeeze. I've kept working with the current needle size (the size my mom started with and the size I continued using), but when it comes to my upcoming 22 ct projects - I'll just use my new 28 size needles. :D (Big Grin)

In other news, I finally acquired the stats for my friend's newest addition to the family - so the birth record for her second lil' girl is patterned and stitched. Clap Super excited about framing it - purchasing some scrapbook paper for the borders this week or next. I'm hoping to have it ironed and framed for my upcoming vacation time - I plan on visiting her for a day, dropping off the birth record and finally seeing her house! :happybounce:

I printed a pattern the other day - a Wonder Woman silhouette. I really want to start stitching it in preparation for the upcoming movie. I'm super excited for the film - more excited for it than I am for Justice League. But starting another project (on top of the 22 ct projects I have in mind) got me thinking - I still haven't finished my GoMK xstitch or my Epic Pokemon (generation one) project. I'm nearly at the half way point on the GoMK project, but I am extremely behind when it comes to progress on the Epic Pokemon one. hmm

So, do I keep stitching smaller projects or head back to the epicness of either larger projects that I've been stitching over a longer period of time? :-? (Confused)  Shrug Either way - I'm going to keep stitching because I love it! Love

I started work on a project mistake of my mother. She started working on her next video game cross stitch when she realized that she was stitching on 18 ct aida. She wanted all of her projects to be on the same sized cloth, so I am stitching the 18 ct version of her Kirby cross stitch. :D (Big Grin)

This is my first 18 ct project, and I am just grateful that it is such a small pattern. Mom stitched it with 2 strands, which is a bit of a tight squeeze. I was researching the recommended number of strands for 22 ct (for some future projects based on video game logos), and I learned that both 18 and 22 ct cloth are usually stitched with 1 strand. Sweating a little...

So, I'm working on that for the time being - while I post the rest of my A to Z Challenge over on my blog Nerdy Girl Confession. I finished the stitching for the month, but I still have to post for the remaining letters until the 30th.

Also, I recently purchased an Xbox One - my first non-Nintendo console since the beloved Sega Genesis of my childhood. :happybounce: Like always (though I will never admit to my father that he's correct in his observations), I have purchased several titles for the console since acquiring it a few weeks ago. I've been buying when sales work out for me - but I admit that I have quite a selection already. :squee: So, I need to make time for some gaming, some stitching, and some blogging during my free time from work. Juggle Let's see what I can do - not enough hours in the day, I tell ya!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! The Kirby project is going a lot smoother - and I figured out that I like the look of the 2 strands... so I've just been going for it! Getting ready for another set of projects that I will be stitching on 22 ct.
